New Delhi: A day after the body of a 30-year-old broker was found in a drain in Narela Industrial Area, two men, including the assistant of the deceased, have been arrested for the gruesome murder.

The victim, Manish, was working as a transport broker in the area and had gone missing. DCP (outer-north) Gaurav Sharma said that the accused have been identified as Atul (20) and Shivam (21).

Manish’s wife Sapna told police that her husband had gone out with Atul, who was assisting Manish in the business. She also said that Atul did not give credible answers about why Manish was missing.

Investigating teams took Atul in for questioning and after interrogation, he confessed to the murder. He then took the police teams to the drain where he, along with Shivam, had dumped the body.

The body was ultimately found near Alipur village and sent for autopsy. A manhunt was launched for Shivam, and he was also nabbed from the vicinity.

During interrogation, they told cops that Atul had asked for money from Manish, which he refused to give. Disgruntled by this, Atul planned to murder Manish and took Shivam’s help.

On Wednesday, Atul and Manish had gone to Swaroop Nagar and Shivam also met them.
