A 76-year-old Aus­tralian cy­clist has died of head in­juries while try­ing to es­cape from a swoop­ing magpie, ac­cord­ing to a re­port. The magpie is a na­tive Aus­tralian bird that gets ag­gres­sive around breed­ing sea­son. The man suf­fered head in­juries on Sun­day when he veered off a path and crashed into a fence, ABC re­ported. He was then thrown to the ground, and suf­fered head in­juries. He was taken to a hos­pi­tal and died in the evening, po­lice said. An ag­gres­sive magpie has re­port­edly been re­spon­si­ble for eight at­tacks in the area.

Judge pleads guilty for bid to steal neigh­bour’s un­der­wear

A pi­geon didn’t think much of a law­maker’s ideas to solve a messy sit­u­a­tion at a Chicago Tran­sit Author­ity stop known by some as “pi­geon poop sta­tion.” WBBM-TV re­ports that a bird did its busi­ness on the head of Demo­cratic state Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Jaime An­drade as he was dis­cussing the prob­lem with a re­porter. An­drade, then rubbed the top of his head and said, “I think they just got me.” The birds did.
