Kin of 8 cops who died on duty to get
New Delhi: The kin of eight Delhi Police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty will get Rs 1 crore ex gratia from the Delhi government. In a meeting headed by deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Tuesday at Delhi Secretariat, the names of the eight cops were cleared for payment to their dependants.
The beneficiaries include the families of sub-inspector Dharambir Singh, assistant sub-inspector Vijay Singh, Jeetender Singh, Mahavir Singh, Guljhari Lal and Khajan Singh, head constable Raj Pal Singh Kasana, and constable Amarpal.
.Vijay was performing duties of PSO of Bhupender Singh on the orders of Delhi high court and while accompanying the latter on April 30 this year, a few miscreants on a motorcycle opened fire at them, in which he died.
