Kin of 8 cops who died on duty to get

New Delhi: The kin of eight Delhi Po­lice per­son­nel who sac­ri­ficed their lives in the line of duty will get Rs 1 crore ex gra­tia from the Delhi govern­ment. In a meet­ing headed by deputy CM Man­ish Siso­dia on Tues­day at Delhi Sec­re­tariat, the names of the eight cops were cleared for pay­ment to their de­pen­dants.

The ben­e­fi­cia­ries in­clude the fam­i­lies of sub-in­spec­tor Dharam­bir Singh, as­sis­tant sub-in­spec­tor Vi­jay Singh, Jee­tender Singh, Ma­havir Singh, Guljhari Lal and Kha­jan Singh, head con­sta­ble Raj Pal Singh Kasana, and con­sta­ble Amarpal.

.Vi­jay was per­form­ing du­ties of PSO of Bhu­pen­der Singh on the or­ders of Delhi high court and while ac­com­pa­ny­ing the lat­ter on April 30 this year, a few mis­cre­ants on a mo­tor­cy­cle opened fire at them, in which he died.
