Ladakh to have cricket academy, says Thakur

Dharamshal­a: Union min­is­ter of state for fi­nance & cor­po­rate af­fairs Anurag Thakur on Wed­nes­day an­nounced set­ting up of a cricket and sports academy in Ladakh. Thakur was on a two-day tour of Ladakh. Dur­ing the visit, he also in­ter­acted with stake­hold­ers along with mem­bers of the 15th Fi­nance Com­mis­sion to un­der­stand the is­sues and chal­lenges in the re­gion, a state­ment is­sued by his of­fice said.

Scot­land recorded the third-high­est stand in in­ter­na­tional T20 his­tory as Ge­orge Mun­sey and Kyle Coet­zer put on 200 in their side’s 58-run win over Nether­lands. The pair ran riot in Dublin with their dou­ble-cen­tury part­ner­ship be­fore Coet­zer was caught out for 89. Mun­sey went on to score an un­beaten 127, while Richie Ber­ring­ton hit 22 as Scot­land fin­ished on 252 for three.
