Zverev en­sures Laver Cup win for Europe

Geneva: Alexan­der Zverev snatched the Laver Cup for Team Europe as he beat Canada’s Mi­los Raonic in the fi­nal rub­ber at Geneva’s Pal­expo Arena. With Roger Fed­erer and Rafael Nadal part of the sup­port­ing bench, Zverev showed im­mense com­po­sure to close out a 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 vic­tory and hand Bjorn Borg’s team a 13-11 over­all win.

Tsonga cap­tures fourth Metz ATP ti­tle:

Jo-Wil­fried Tsonga won the ATP tour­na­ment in Metz for the fourth time fol­low­ing a 6-7 (4/7), 7-6 (7/4), 6-3 vic­tory over Slove­nia’s Al­jaz Be­dene. The 34-year-old French­man added to his wins in 2011, 2012 and 2015 in Metz by claim­ing the 18th ti­tle of his ca­reer. Tsonga fin­ished 2018 ranked out­side the top 200 af­ter a year.
