Im­ran forced to fly back to NY af­ter snag hits MbS’ jet

Is­lam­abad: The plane car­ry­ing PM Im­ran Khan and his en­tourage to Pak­istan re­turned to New York on Fri­day af­ter de­vel­op­ing a tech­ni­cal fault four hours af­ter it took off.

The plane, given by Saudi Crown Prince Muham­mad Bin Sal­man, made an emer­gency land­ing in New York due to a prob­lem in its elec­tronic sys­tem. Of­fi­cials said if they had con­tin­ued the jour­ney, there was a strong pos­si­bil­ity of an ac­ci­dent. Khan, of­fi­cials said, waited for some time at the air­port but had to leave for his ho­tel af­ter be­ing told the plane will be ready for flight only by Satur­day morn­ing.
