Honeytrap SIT gets new boss, third in 8 days
Bhopal/Indore: The SIT investigating the honeytrap scandal has got a new chief — the third in eight days. In a latenight order on Tuesday, Sanjiv Shami was removed as SIT chief and replaced by a much senior officer, special DG-cyber cell Rajendra Kumar.
BJP alleged that the transfer of SIT boss and 15 IPS officers were done to “meddle with evidence”. Home minister Bala Bachchan defended the decision, saying: “It was based on seriousness of the case.”
