For­mer Pak­istan speed­ster Shoiab Akhtar couldn’t stop him­self from laud­ing Ro­hit Sharma’s ef­fort with the bat in the first Test against South Africa. “I had asked Ro­hit to add a G for ‘Great’ be­fore his name and play in the man­ner go­ing in with the mind­set that he is the best bats­man in In­dia,” Akhtar said, adding that Ro­hit could amass 1000 runs in the rub­ber and could sur­pass Smith’s run tally of 774 runs in the Ashes se­ries.
