Judiciary must pay heed
I wish Swaminathan Aiyar’s plea in ‘UK’s swift 27-day ruling puts our system to shame’ (ATM, September 29) that court verdicts should be quick, short and lucid, and not running into hundreds of pages, was judged in all earnestness by the judiciary. It’s because of excruciating delays in court trials that people approach courts as a last resort, except in cases involving politicians taking on each other, and when all other options are exhausted. Let’s change.
