Goel, Tan­don elected unan­i­mously

Union min­is­ter Vi­jay Goel and vet­eran sports ad­min­is­tra­tor Ravi Tan­don have been unan­i­mously elected as the pres­i­dent and sec­re­tary gen­eral, re­spec­tively, of the Delhi Bil­liards & Snooker As­so­ci­a­tion (DBSA) for a three-year term from 2019-2022. H S Bho­gal and Aayush Bansal have been named joint sec­re­taries, while A K Garg has been elected trea­surer. Mean­while, in a sad de­vel­op­ment, former DBSA cham­pion, Tarun Chan­dra, breathed his last on Satur­day af­ter abrief ill­ness. Chan­dra, fa­ther of In­dia in­ter­na­tional snooker and pool player Manan, was nick­named ‘Tor­nado’ dur­ing his play­ing days.
