Bijnor: Five women in UP’s Amroha district were on Wednesday rushed to a hospital after they were injured in a fist fight, triggered after a woman insulted the other over her financial condition to purchase onions.

It all started on Wednesday morning when Neha was bargaining the price of onion from ahawker in Amroha’s Kalakheri village. Her neighbour, Deepti, who was in a rush of things, was also in the queue, restless.

“She is not financially capable to afford onions, don’t waste your time,” Deepti suggested to the hawker, quite loudly. The words did not go down well with Neha who shot back. The heated argument led to fist fight and blows as both the neighbouring families joined the brawl. Neha, Deepti and three other women were taken to a hospital.

Later, six persons from both the sides were booked for the brawl. All the accused were produced in a local court and got bail.
