Jet founder Naresh Goyal’s wife faces 7-hr ED in­ter­ro­ga­tion

Mum­bai: The ED on Wed­nes­day ques­tioned Jet Air­ways founder and for­mer chair­man Naresh Goyal’s wife Anita for seven hours at their Bal­lard Es­tate of­fice in Mum­bai. She came to the ED of­fice at 11 am and was al­lowed to leave around 7pm. Mean­while, the ED has called Naresh Goyal for sec­ond round of ques­tion­ing on Thurs­day. The ED has al­ready ques­tioned Goyal last month in a case of al­leged con­tra­ven­tion of the for­eign ex­change law.

The ED has reg­is­tered a forex vi­o­la­tion case against Goyal and oth­ers and is prob­ing the air­line’s fi­nan­cial trans­ac­tions over the last 12 years, in­clud­ing tax eva­sion. It is also ex­plor­ing the pos­si­bil­ity of regis
