Prasad among world’s 100 most in­flu­en­tial peo­ple in dig­i­tal gov­er­nance

New Delhi: Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, electronic­s & IT min­is­ter Ravi Shankar Prasad has been named in the list of world’s 100 most in­flu­en­tial peo­ple in dig­i­tal gov­er­nance.

The list has been pre­pared by alead­ing UK-based NGO, Apo­lit­i­cal, which presents global plat­forms for gov­ern­ments that help public ser­vants, ex­perts and part­ners to find the ideas to solve the chal­lenges fac­ing the so­ci­ety. Some of the lead­ing en­trepreneur­s, au­thors, se­nior pol­icy ad­vi­sors, tech­nol­o­gists and pro­fes­sors of Har­vard Univer­sity are mem­bers of this body, while its part­ners in­clude the World Bank, and the World Eco­nomic Fo­rum.

Prasad has been lead­ing the gov­ern­ment’s dig­i­tal ef­forts which in­clude pro­grammes such as Dig­i­tal In­dia that aims to em­power ci­ti­zens through the use of tech­nol­ogy.
