Green plans for CBSE cam­pus at Dwarka

New Delhi: With so­lar pan­els pro­duc­ing 300 kWh of elec­tric­ity and a proper sewage treat­ment plan, the new build­ing of the Cen­tral Board of Sec­ondary Ed­u­ca­tion (CBSE) in Dwarka will be a green com­plex with state-of-the-art fa­cil­i­ties. The foun­da­tion stone of the new cam­pus was laid on Fri­day by Union min­is­ter for hu­man re­source de­vel­op­ment Ramesh Pokhriyal Nis­hank.

va­tion. So­lar pan­els will be in­stalled on the roof to pro­duce 300 kWh of elec­tric­ity. A sewage treat­ment plan has also been pro­posed for flush­ing toi­lets and re­use of grey wa­ter in land­scap­ing. These fa­cil­i­ties be­ing in­cluded in the in­te­grated cam­pus will also con­trib­ute to­wards en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion. The lat­est se­cu­rity fea­tures have been taken care of in the de­sign of the build­ing,” said a state­ment from the Board.

Along with the CBSE build­ing, the min­is­ter on Fri­day also in­au­gu­rated 13 newly con­structed build­ings of the Ken­driya Vidyalayas and laid the foun­da­tion stone for the six KVs lo­cated in 12 states through video con­fer­enc­ing. This in­fras­truc­ture will ben­e­fit more than 20,000 stu­dents.
