PM will in­au­gu­rate Kar­tarpur cor­ri­dor on Nov 8: Har­sim­rat 10k Sikh pil­grims to get Pak visas

Lud­hi­ana: Union food pro­cess­ing min­is­ter Har­sim­rat Kaur Badal said on Satur­day that Prime Min­is­ter Naren­dra Modi will in­au­gu­rate the Kar­tarpur cor­ri­dor be­tween Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Pun­jab’s Gurdaspur and Darbar Sahib Gur­d­wara in Pak­istan on Novem­ber 8.

Har­sim­rat, who was cam­paign­ing in Dakha con­stituency for Shi­ro­mani Akali Dal (SAD) can­di­date Man­preet Ayali ahead of the by­poll, said Modi and other Cen­tral gov­ern­ment dig­ni­taries would come to the Shi­ro­mani Gur­d­wara Pra­band­hak Com­mit­tee (SGPC) stage dur­ing the in­au­gu­ra­tion of the Kar­tarpur cor­ri­dor in Novem­ber. the oc­ca­sion of 550th birth an­niver­sary of Guru Nanak in Novem­ber this year, Pak­istan will is­sue 10,000 visas to Sikh pil­grims. The first batch of devo­tees will leave for Pak­istan in the first week of Novem­ber by a spe­cial train. The pil­grims will pro­ceed to the Wa­gah rail­way sta­tion from Atari and then start their jour­ney to the Nankana Sahib. Sikhs will con­tinue to visit Pak­istan till Novem­ber 8.
