Terror probe after mass stabbing in UK mall injures 5
London: A mass stabbing at a shopping centre in Manchester on Friday left five people injured, prompting the counter-terrorism officers to investigate.
Police said given the location and nature of the incident, specialist officers are continuing to investigate. The centre is near the Manchester Arena, which was the site of a 2017 IS claimed bombing in which 22 people were killed. “A man in his 40s — who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of serious assault – remains in custody for questioning,” police said.
