THE 5-BITES DIET

Eat whatever you want, but only five bites of it. On this diet, you skip breakfast and eat five bites of food for lunch, and five more for dinner.

THE LEMONADE DIET

This involves subsisting only on lemon juice mixed with maple syrup, cayenne pepper,

and water for days.

Verdict You’ll shed mostly water weight, and when you start eating solid food again,

you’ll gain all the weight back.

THE BABY FOOD DIET

You are allowed to eat only mushy baby food for lunch, followed by a low-calorie dinner.

Verdict Unsustaina­ble.

THE FLETCHERIS­M DIET

This advocates chewing each mouthful of food at least 32 times, or until it is in liquid form.

Verdict Boring, boring, boring.

THE BOTOX CURE

Some people are now advocating injecting Botox into the stomach because they believe it helps delay the emptying of the stomach, which increases the feeling of fullness, and thus, reduces body weight.

Verdict Too risky and has no benefits.
