A reader captures a beautiful frame of a slender rice bug resting on a wild bush in Odisha’s Nandankanan Wildlife Sanctuary.
A FEW YEARS AGO, I was walking on a trail inside the State Botanical Garden, which covers 24 satellite gardens and parks inside Nandankanan Wildlife Sanctuary in Odisha. It was a sunny morning, and I was busy looking for some exotic butterflies when this bug caught my attention. It’s a slender rice bug resting on a wild bush. The way it shimmered in the sunlight, it made me want to capture it. Since these bugs are quite quick, it took a flurry of rapid adjustments to frame it.
