A reader captures a larva of Blue Tiger Moth in the backyard of his home in Kinnigoli, Karnataka.

I WAS ON MY DAILY exploration of the backyard of my home in Kinnigoli, Karnataka, when I stumbled upon this colourful creature. I knew I had to photograph it and find out what it was. Turns out it is a larva of Blue Tiger Moth (Dysphania Percota), a moth of the Geometridae family. The larvae feed on the Carallia species of trees. Hopefully, this larva will have survived long enough to undergo complete metamorphosis into a beautiful, winged moth—a beautiful lesson in slow and holistic growth.
