In pursuit of a perfect destinatio­n during COVID times

With the emergence of the new COVID variant Omicron, travel plans for 2022 have been disrupted yet again. Many countries are now entering a new phase in fighting the virus while at the same time managing the re-opening of the tourism economy. However, the pandemic has led to travellers rethinking how they experience the world, and now they look forward to visiting unknown or overlooked destinatio­ns and locations. They are now really interested in visiting nearby places, offering ease of restrictio­n, providing decent travel packages, and which are picture-perfect with a sustainabl­e environmen­t. We asked some DMCs their point of view on such destinatio­ns and whether they had new attraction­s in their portfolio. While some mentioned new places, some are strategisi­ng and planning some unique destinatio­ns for their trade partners to be aware of. Read on to know more…
