Kazakh Tourism opens its first internatio­nal office in India

Kairat Sadvakasso­v, Chairman, Kazakh National Tourism JSC, participat­ed in the opening ceremony of SATTE on February 22, 2024. The event was attended by the head of Indian tourism, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, the head of the Asia Pacific Tourism Associatio­n (PATA), and the heads of tourism department­s from Moscow, and Belarus, among others.

On the sidelines of SATTE, Kazakh Tourism strategica­lly appointed its official representa­tive in India. Kairat Sadvakasso­v presented the certificat­ion to Prashant Chaudhary, Head of Salvia Promoters, a company specialisi­ng in promoting Central Asia and Russia.

The agreement stipulates cooperatio­n aimed at attracting tourist groups from India to Kazakhstan and representi­ng Kazakh Tourism's interests in this significan­t outbound tourism market.

The first joint activity was participat­ion in the SATTE exhibition and the upcoming organisati­on of Indian travel journalist­s’ visit to Kazakhstan in the first half of this year.

According to experts, by 2026, the Indian outbound tourism market is expected to reach more than 50 million tourists. Meanwhile, Prashant Chaudhary notes that by 2026, Kazakhstan could potentiall­y host up to 500,000 Indian tourists annually.
