“We are work­ing with in­di­vid­ual travel com­pa­nies, of­fer­ing at­trac­tive re­bates on film pro­duc­tions and meet­ing with more pro­duc­tion houses as Bol­ly­wood is one of the most vi­able tools for pro­mot­ing Fiji in In­dia.

Cur­rently, the av­er­age length of stay by In­di­ans is about eight to ten days. We in­tend to fur­ther add five to six days in the itin­er­ary. We will continue pro­mot­ing Fiji in In­dia through fam trips for travel trade, train­ing pro­grammes, road­shows and off course through our rep­re­sen­ta­tive in In­dia.”

Speak­ing on MICE, Sayed-Khaiyum said, “We have over 10,000 rooms along with casi­nos and in­ter­na­tional stan­dard con­ven­tion fa­cil­i­ties. By Septem­ber 2013, we will also have a con­ven­tion cen­tre with ca­pac­ity of 1,500 pax.”
