Air passengers: Once up, now down

As per the passenger traffic data submitted by various domestic airlines, the number of passengers carried by them is 438.39 lakh between January-September 2012 as against 442.18 lakh during the corresponding period of the previous year showing the growth of -0.9 per cent. The total domestic passengers carried by the scheduled domestic airlines for the month of September 2012 were 40.18 lakh.
