Aashish Gupta, newlyap­pointed Con­sult­ing CEO, FAITH, then an­nounced the top five pri­or­i­ties that FAITH will pur­sue with the Cen­tral Govern­ment and the var­i­ous State Gov­ern­ments. “Now, on a con­tin­u­ous ba­sis, FAITH will en­gage and work along with the Cen­tral Govern­ment and will start on the ‘ Big- 5’ for In­dian Tourism and Hos­pi­tal­ity. It in­cludes el­e­va­tion of tourism and hos­pi­tal­ity to get ben­e­fits sim­i­lar to in­dus­try; cre­ation of an en­abling tax regime for both di­rect and in­di­rect ( ser­vice tax); cre­ation of spe­cialised tourism and hos­pi­tal­ity in­fra­struc­ture; cre­ation of sus­tain­able sup­ply of skilled and highly-mo­ti­vated work­force and fur­ther ex­ten­sion of visa on ar­rival for seam­less travel.”
