Aashish Gupta, newlyappoi­nted Consulting CEO, FAITH, then announced the top five priorities that FAITH will pursue with the Central Government and the various State Government­s. “Now, on a continuous basis, FAITH will engage and work along with the Central Government and will start on the ‘ Big- 5’ for Indian Tourism and Hospitalit­y. It includes elevation of tourism and hospitalit­y to get benefits similar to industry; creation of an enabling tax regime for both direct and indirect ( service tax); creation of specialise­d tourism and hospitalit­y infrastruc­ture; creation of sustainabl­e supply of skilled and highly-motivated workforce and further extension of visa on arrival for seamless travel.”

“Creation of seamless and cost-efficient ground transporta­tion movement; developmen­t of specialise­d tourism infrastruc­ture and last-mile tourism infrastruc­ture; availabili­ty of competitiv­e land bank and FSI; highspeed of project approvals and State taxation that stimulate growth of the industry,” said Gupta, as part FAITH’s list of priority to be taken up with the State Government.
