‘Shutdown will not impact travel’

TravTalk - India - - News -

The impact of the shutdown will not have any impact on travel as most of the services are functioning normally. First, obtaining a US visa from India will not be a problem because consular services at US embassies and consulates around the world are largely funded by application fees, not annual appropriations. Visa applications filed by foreigners wanting to enter the United States will continue to be processed, according to the US State Department. Immigration and customs check in facilities at all US airports and air traffic controllers are functioning normally’. Thereby flight operations across all airlines flying to the US will not be affected. However, all 401 National Park service sites, which collectively average about 7,15,000 visitors per day in October, will be closed. But Indian customers prefer to go to theme parks.
