Pro­mot­ing un­ex­plored Ma­ha­rash­tra

Veena World has iden­ti­fied 7-8 pack­ages that they will mar­ket to in­bound trav­ellers from Jan­uary 2014, which in­cludes des­ti­na­tions such as Pand­harpur, Kol­ha­pur and the re­cently-launched Saya­ji­raje Park in Akhluj.

Patil, Founder & Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Veena World said, "Ma­ha­rash­tra, as a desti­na­tion, has plenty of undis­cov­ered po­ten­tial. Our goal is to pro­mote rel­a­tively un­ex­plored des­ti­na­tions in Ma­ha­rash­tra to for­eign visi­tors to the coun­try. The share of leisure in­bound to our over­all busi­ness has been sig­nif­i­cant, and we are there­fore turn­ing our at­ten­tion to the seg­ment."

Patil added, " We have iden­ti­fied 7-8 pack­ages that we will mar­ket to in­bound trav­ellers from Jan­uary 2014. Our goal is to show­case and in­crease aware­ness of des­ti­na­tions such as Pand­harpur, Kol­ha­pur and the re­cently- launched Saya­ji­raje Park in Akhluj." She in­formed, " Mum­bai is also cru­cial for us. The city is one of the ma­jor gate­ways into In­dia. How­ever, it is re­garded more as the com­mer­cial cap­i­tal and we want to change that per­cep­tion to Mum­bai as a tourism hub." Speak­ing of their mar­ket­ing and promotiona­l strat­egy, Patil stated, “We will work jointly with the Ma­ha­rash­tra Tourism De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion ( MTDC) to show­case Ma­ha­rash­tra's tourism po­ten­tial and to ed­u­cate the travel trade about Ma­ha­rash­tra's des­ti­na­tions and prod­uct of­fer­ings. We are also part­ner­ing with MTDC for WTM 2013.”
