Saying ‘YES’ to growth in Indian tourism

As part of the understand­ing, the two Parties have mutually agreed to club their expertise and work on grassroot developmen­t projects in tourism. Also, they will undertake cutting edge research in the sector, with major focus on leveraging the potential of Collaborat­ive Community Structures as an agent for social transforma­tion.

Speaking at the launch, Manjula Chaudhary, Director, IITTM, said, “The tourism sector has immense potential to induce sustainabl­e growth in India with knowledge and skilled manpower as biggest drivers.

IITTM is committed to develop knowledge and capacity building in tourism since its inception and has always believed in discoverin­g new models of learning.

Industry academia partnershi­ps are great initiative­s to work towards a holistic developmen­t model and this MoU will help in bridging the knowledge gap in tourism. This step is the starting point for more such partnershi­ps to come.”
