Being one of the largest network operators in the Middle East, the airline is looking at strengthening Gulf Air’s position in Cyprus and promoting its network to the Middle East and beyond.
Talking about the new emerging interest for corporate and leisure groups for Cyprus, Pervin Sarkari, Sales Executive, Gulf Air revealed, “One of the prime objectives of Gulf Air is to connect Bahrain to the Middle East countries and the rest of the world, including Europe. Commenting on the aspect of educating those selling Cyprus, Sarkari, who also hosted the trip on behalf of Gulf Air, added, “We recently conducted a fam trip to Cyprus for a group of travel agents across India. This fam has been used as a platform to showcase the country’s cultural and natural uniqueness to travel agents and to promote Cyprus as a leisure destination in India. By boosting connectivity to Cyprus from India, we want to position Cyprus as a standalone destination for the Indian outbound traveller. The travel agents from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi got first-hand exposure to the various activities that Cyprus has to offer.” The itinerary consisted of visit to Nicosia, Kakopetria village, Troodos mountains, Omodos village, Pafos, Limassol, Larnaca and Ayia Napa.
