Marriott, MIT develop app to connect hotel guests

Marriott has teamed up with MIT to develop a new app that connects people with common interests staying at the same hotel. The app, ‘Six Degrees’, allows people to sign in to their LinkedIn profiles and uses them to connect to people who attended the same school or were members of the same organisation or both to enjoy wine tastings. Hotel workers can also use the app to organise group events like wine tastings or rock climbing excursions.
