ETA focus

Removing roadblocks in the industry is a priority for the government. Showing his keenness to make the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) visa facility operational at the earliest, he added, “The ministry is also trying to make ETA operational as soon as possible. This facility will enable travellers to apply for visa online and receive the travel authorization within three to five working days. The service will encourage inbound tourism as it will be convenient for lastminute travelers, sponsors of business travelers and executives attending conferences.” Naik also pointed out that he would talk with the surface transport ministry to address the demand of seamless travel.
