Wish Bone India specialises in bespoke travel to India’s exotic and unique locations for the discerning inbound and domestic traveller. Talking about the evolution of the company, Amit Aggarwal, Director, Wish Bone India says, “We started as a domestic tour operator company in 2006 and gradually expanded the product and service mix by adding the MICE segment in our portfolio. Today, MICE contributes around 65 per cent of our total revenue. We are primarily servicing some of the leading pharmaceutical companies.
The company also expanded operations in the inbound segment in 2011. We are primarily focussing on tailor-made travel programmes, customised to the tastes of discerning travellers.” The group is offering a range of services, including individual tours ( FIT), leisure group series and ad- hoc group tours and covers a variety of ground travel products and services, such as hotels, restaurants, coaches and sightseeing products.
The company is also targetting accessible and affordable luxury segment in France & Benelux, UK and US markets. “The company has appointed representatives in all these countries with an aim to achieve the desired market penetration. The initial results in terms of market penetration and sales are very encouraging and we are now expecting substantial contribution to our sales,” he adds.
Realising the importance of information technology in the tourism industry, the group is investing substantial resources both in terms of finance and human resource. “We have our in-house IT department and a dedicated team handling the Social Media,” he informs.
