The Canadian Tourism Commission ( CTC) has recorded an astounding 46.5 per cent rise in Indian visitor arrival in July 2014 over the same month last year. Till July 2014, overnight arrivals from India to Canada have increased 20.7 per cent. This is the second consecutive month of double- digit growth. Growth in overnight arrivals was led by the ducting workshops in these cities in the coming months. We hope to see this rising trend continue in the coming months.”
CTC hosts familiarisation trips to give the agents a first- hand experience of Canada. Recently CTC participated in a wedding convention to promote Canada as a wedding destination. “India has a lot of potential. And as we all know, Canada has so much to offer that it is not possible to see it all in one visit. We hope that Indians will be keen to visit& revisit Canada to explore the unexplored parts,” SanJeet said.
