The Cana­dian Tourism Com­mis­sion ( CTC) has recorded an as­tound­ing 46.5 per cent rise in In­dian vis­i­tor ar­rival in July 2014 over the same month last year. Till July 2014, overnight ar­rivals from In­dia to Canada have in­creased 20.7 per cent. This is the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive month of dou­ble- digit growth. Growth in overnight ar­rivals was led by the duct­ing work­shops in th­ese ci­ties in the com­ing months. We hope to see this ris­ing trend con­tinue in the com­ing months.”

CTC hosts fa­mil­iari­sa­tion trips to give the agents a first- hand ex­pe­ri­ence of Canada. Re­cently CTC par­tic­i­pated in a wed­ding con­ven­tion to pro­mote Canada as a wed­ding des­ti­na­tion. “In­dia has a lot of po­ten­tial. And as we all know, Canada has so much to of­fer that it is not pos­si­ble to see it all in one visit. We hope that In­di­ans will be keen to visit& re­visit Canada to ex­plore the un­ex­plored parts,” San­Jeet said.
