Zil­lious moves into SE Asia

B.Ra­jan, Di­rec­tor Sales, Zil­lious So­lu­tions, talks to about the suc­cess of the tech com­pany's prod­ucts and chal­lenges in the in­ter­na­tional mar­ket.

Since 2009, Zil­lious has been pro­vid­ing state-of-the-art travel tech­nol­ogy to Travel Man­age­ment Com­pa­nies (TMC) in In­dia. Their prod­uct, the Cor­po­rate Book­ing Tool, was re­ceived with a pos­i­tive re­sponse and has so far be­come a run­away hit.

"We did not want to be run-of-the-mill," shares Ra­jan. "We wanted to be a spe­cialised com­pany so that's when the idea of Cor­po­rate Book­ing Tool came up. It filled a gap in travel tech­nol­ogy dur­ing that time." Ra­jan en­thuses that the prod­uct was warmly wel­comed by the cor­po­rate sec­tor who they now fre­quently work with.

When asked about the rea­son for suc­cess, he ex­plains, "At that point of time, this fea­ture was not avail­able in In­dia at all. We're proud to be pi­o­neers in this area. How­ever, now we are com­pet­ing with the in­ter­na­tional mar­ket which is by far very strin­gent on cus-

"What a TMC wants is what we give them. More­over, we con­stantly upgrade the sys­tem to re­main in tune with the times. We have also launched the mo­bile app, with the in­tro page in Ara­bic to cater to our Middle East au­di­ence, where cus­tomers can di­rectly make their book­ings. Then app has proved to be a ma­jor plus point for us."
