The fes­ti­val of Navra­tri is well-known and celebrated all over In­dia. But there’s a rea­son why the men­tion of ‘Navra­tri’ in­vari­ably draws one’s mind to­wards the state of Gu­jarat. The high­light of the Navra­tri cel­e­bra­tions in Gu­jarat is the tra­di­tional dance form ‘garba’ which flows in ev­ery Gu­jarati’s blood. Peo­ple come out in large num­bers with their ‘dan­dia sticks’ at night to par­tic­i­pate in this de­light­ful ac­tiv­ity dressed in the most ra­di­ant and colour­ful tra­di­tional out­fits. The au­then­tic Gu­jarati food is also is rel­ished by all at the var­i­ous food stalls that spring up all over the state.

The Depart­ment of Tourism, Gov­ern­ment of Gu­jarat, has part­nered with a num­ber of trusted travel agen­cies to of­fer tourists ex­tremely at­trac­tive travel pack­ages and to pro­vide a wider range of of­fer­ings to the vis­i­tors in ad­di­tion to the schemes of­fered by the depart­ment it­self.
