High de­mand for 3-4 star ho­tels

Ho­tel Park Ocean, which be­gan op­er­a­tions in mid2016, fo­cuses on brand aware­ness and ex­pects to grow its mar­ket share in 2017 through travel part­ners.

San­deep Jain, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Ho­tel Park Ocean, feels that the USP of the prop­erty is its pric­ing along with fa­cil­i­ties such as meet­ings and ban­quet space, spa, swim­ming pool and in­ter­na­tional cui­sine restau­rant. The ho­tel’s cen­tral lo­ca­tion and ac­ces­si­bil­ity to all means of trans­port like the bus stand, rail­way sta­tion and the Jaipur In­ter­na­tional Air­port adds to that list.

Jain in­forms that they be­gan op­er­a­tions in mid2016 and the prop­erty has been do­ing pos­i­tive busi­ness. “We have great ex­pec­ta­tions in 2017 as we al­ready have some busi­ness on the books and our busi­ness strat­egy for the sum­mer and win­ter sea­son will help us grab the mar­ket share,” he says. In 2016, Ho­tel Park Ocean saw 60 per cent in­ter­na­tional guests and 40 per cent do­mes­tic traf­fic. Jain opines that there is a high de­mand for 3- and 4-star ho­tels which he is sure will in­crease day by day. He points out that nowa­days max­i­mum guests look for a bud­geted ac­com­mo­da­tion which is well looked af­ter and 3-4 star ho­tels are able to de­liver this.

Dis­cussing the growth strat­egy and mar­ket­ing plans for 2017, Jain ex­plains that the prop­erty is ag­gres­sively ap­proach­ing the mar­ket. “We are tar­get­ing our own rep­re­sen­ta­tions in ma­jor metro cities like the Na­tional Cap­i­tal Re­gion, Mum­bai, Kolkata and Ahmed­abad. We are col­lab­o­rat­ing with the print me­dia and so­cial me­dia plat­forms to es­tab­lish our pres­ence as much as pos­si­ble. We are also at­tend­ing all ma­jor travel trade shows,” he says.

“A large share of our busi­ness is from the part­ners and that is be­cause we are very flexible with them.We work very closely with them in or­der to un­der­stand their busi­ness re­quire­ments es­pe­cially mar­ket spe­cific ones such as those from the Euro­pean mar­ket, Far East mar­ket or the GCC mar­ket,” adds Jain.The ho­tel de­signs mar­ket spe­cific, tai­lor-made pack­ages with its travel part­ners and also or­gan­ises busi­ness net­work­ing events and fa­mil­iari­sa­tion trips to up­date the trade about the prod­ucts on of­fer, in­forms Jain.
