L ittle was announced for the growth of tourism in the Union Budget for the financial year 2017-18 on February 1, 2017, which unsettled the industry and left a lot to be desired. While the new budget is focused on developing road infrastructure to a great deal, there was hardly any mention of a revision or rebate on any tax, an issue that has been the talk of the town. We brought together Pronab Sarkar, President, IATO;

Guldeep Singh Sahni, President, OTOAI; Sarab Jit Singh, Vice Chairman, FAITH; Rajindera Kumar, Former President FHRAI & HRANI, and Rajan Sehgal, Chairman- Northern Chapter, TAAI; for an insightful debate to assess the impact and deliberate the pros and cons of the Budget.
