OTOAI all set for RAK

The 3rd Con­ven­tion of Out­bound Tour Op­er­a­tors As­so­ci­a­tion of In­dia (OTOAI) will be held from Septem­ber 13-16, at Wal­dorf As­to­ria, Ras Al Khaimah, where the In­dian travel trade will get to ex­plore a new des­ti­na­tion.

The con­ven­tion will bring to­gether 160-170 del­e­gates from the out­bound tourism in­dus­try, where 95 per cent of the del­e­gates will be the ac­tive mem­bers of OTOAI and a few will be the al­lied mem­bers, in­forms Guldeep Singh Sahni, Pres­i­dent, OTOAI. “The del­e­gates can ex­pect a wide spec­trum of in­sights to en­hance their knowl­edge and ef­fi­ciency and gain a com­pet­i­tive ad­van­tage. As we nav­i­gate in an ever-chang­ing en­vi­ron­ment, the con­ven­tion is de­signed to un­der­stand the fu­ture vi­sion of the travel in­dus­try and what we can do in light of th­ese rapid de­vel­op­ments. Apart from this, the del­e­gates will get an op­por­tu­nity to ex­plore a new des­ti­na­tion that they can add to their port­fo­lio of prod­ucts,” says Sahni.

The theme of the con­ven­tion is ‘Chang­ing TimesCreat­ing Op­por­tu­ni­ties’ and busi­ness ses­sions will fo­cus on is­sues that the tourism in­dus­try is grap­pling with on a daily ba­sis and will also de­lib­er­ate on the op­por­tu­ni­ties that lie ahead, points out Riaz Mun­shi, Vice Pres­i­dent and Chair­man Con­ven­tion, OTOAI. “This year’s con­ven­tion is look­ing to ad­dress the most im­por­tant is­sues im­pact­ing travel busi­ness to­day. It is a plat­form for con­struc­tive net­work­ing, strength­en­ing re­la­tion­ships among mem­bers and re­in­forc­ing OTOAI’s aim to fos­ter an en­vi­ron­ment of col­lab­o­ra­tion with var­i­ous stake­hold­ers through our ide­ol­ogy of col­lec­tive am­bi­tion,” says Mun­shi.
