Travel trade exhibition­s are lead generating platforms where participan­ts from India can meet internatio­nal buyers and exhibitors, feels Atul Khanna, General Manager-Sales, A-La-Carte Tours. “I have noticed a reduction in footfall at various internatio­nal s shows. Though business is done much later, trade shows are networking platforms to get acquainted with new and existing i clients. These platforms bridge the gap between India and the world and offer an insight into the popular travel trends,” h he says. Khanna says they’re working with markets in Turkey, Brazil, Romania and Norway. “I think 2018 will be a better y year for inbound business. However, there is still ambiguity around GST for hotels, which needs to be ironed out,” he adds.
