Tourism Pow­er­House in Delhi

PATA In­dia Chap­ter has an­nounced that it will be or­gan­is­ing the Tourism Pow­er­House from Au­gust 5-6, 2018, at The Park New Delhi.

The an­nounce­ment about The Tourism Pow­er­House was made at PATA In­dia Chap­ter’s 7th Up­date and Outlook Meet­ing in co­op­er­a­tion with the Min­istry of Tourism at The Clar­idges, New Delhi, which saw in at­ten­dance, Rashmi Verma, Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Tourism, Gov­ern­ment of In­dia and Chair­man, PATA In­dia Chap­ter; Su­man Billa, Joint Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Tourism, Gov­ern­ment of In­dia; and MP Mall, Chair­man and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, In­dian Rail­way Cater­ing and Tourism Cor­po­ra­tion (IRCTC). The Pow­er­House will be presided over by Verma and

Mario Hardy, CEO, PATA. Verma spoke at length about var­i­ous ini­tia­tives un­der­taken by MOT for de­vel­op­ment of tourism in the coun­try. Billa also de­liv­ered a pre­sen­ta­tion on In­dian tourism and the ini­tia­tives taken. Verma ad­dressed the con­cerns that PATA mem­bers shared at the meet­ing. “This is one plat­form where the in­dus­try and the gov­ern­ment meet and dis­cuss their is­sues. We had noted down all the is­sues about rail­ways and fa­cil­i­ties of­fered by IRCTC. I will be tak­ing th­ese up with the Chair­man, Min­istry of Rail­ways in a spe­cial meet­ing as well as with the in­ter-min­is­te­rial group meet­ing chaired by Cabi­net Sec­re­tary,” said Verma. Shar­ing de­tails about the Pow­er­House, she added, “We hope to draw emi­nent speak­ers from all over the world to speak on con­tem­po­rary is­sues like re­spon­si­ble tourism, sus­tain­able tourism, mar­ket­ing and dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing at The Tourism Pow­er­house. They will be shar­ing global trends, ini­tia­tives and best prac­tices re­quired to em­u­late in our coun­try.”
