Education takes flight

After 26 years of presence in the B2B sector, Udaan India ventures into the B2C industry with the inception of ‘Study With Udaan’, an education consultanc­y firm. Rounak Dua, CEO, SWU, talks about her future plans.

Udaan India has set its foot in the education sector with ‘Study With Udaan’ (SWU) to provide end to end educationa­l visas and help students get admission in foreign colleges and universiti­es. Explaining the idea behind the birth of SWU, Rounak Dua, CEO, SWU, says, “We came up with this initiative because we have been receiving a lot of queries from agents and students directly for visa-related issues. It's a major step for us to venture into the B2C sector.” Talking about her plans, Dua says that her chief focus lies on Tier-II cities. “With our now want to target Tier-II cities where there are fewer consultanc­ies and less resource available. We want to promote the internatio­nal education system and help students get a mindset about the lifestyle, education and knowledge abroad,” she added. services which the company offers, Dua says, “We are promoting all the countries worldwide out of which destinatio­ns like the US, Canada, UK are top favourites. We are also promoting MBBS in Commonweal­th of Independen­t States (CIS) countries." “This year, we are focusing more on sending students aboard for pursuing medicine. With a lot of competitio­n among students, countries like Georgia, Russia and Armenia provide good education facili Dua recounted her experience and expressed joy over her associatio­n with Udaan for over three years,. She says, “I have worked with every department of Udaan; I know the company in and out. Having religiousl­y worked in the online department, foraying into education sector was a challengin­g decision but I automatica­lly got intrigued because it’s an interestin­g concept.” Speaking about the challenges she faces while propelling SWU, Dua insists that she is learning with each passing day. “My father is my role model. Following his footsteps, I want to take Udaan’s legacy forward. Stepping into the business of student visa from om work and tourist visa is not ot easy, it’s a complicate­d process but we are working hard.” she further adds.
