Saudi Arabia: Open for tourists

While top leaders of India and Saudi Arabia sign an agreement to promote tourism between the two nations, we try and explore some of the lesser-known tourism offerings of the latter.

Al Ula, located in northweste­rn Saudi Arabia, man-made and natural heritage. The size of Belgium, this region contains a number of archaeolog­ical treasures and ancient sites, surrounded by breathtaki­ng natural beauty - ties and entering a new space, Al Ula is similar to walking through civilizati­ons and absorbing history, heritage, and culture at its best.

Saudi Arabia has introduced renowned Al Ula heritage site. A festival like no other in a place like no other, Winter at step towards attracting tourists. Hosted by the residents of the region, the festival ran December 20, 2018 to February 23, 2019.

When to sell

With a promise of being back this year, the Winter at Tantora festival is slated to be held from December 2019 till March 2020. With tourism being very new to the country, the global partnershi­ps focused on art, culture, heritage, and nature. For the Winter at Tantora festival, online visas were issued to tourists. Al Ula is focused on further developing opportunit­ies for Bollywood collaborat­ions and for hosting Indian weddings.
