IndiGo strength­ens base

IndiGo has tem­po­rar­ily added ap­prox­i­mately 20 new de­par­tures each from Mum­bai and Delhi in a phased man­ner from April 15, 2019 for sum­mers.

IndiGo has an­nounced six new routes, out of which four will be serv­ing Ude Desh ka Aam Na­grik (UDAN) RCS scheme, start­ing June 22, 2019. The air­line has also an­nounced Mum­bai to Jed­dah and Abu Dhabi from June 5. From July 5, Dam­mam daily from Mum­bai.

Shar­ing the de­tails, Wil­liam Boul­ter, Chief Com­mer­cial ma­jor cul­tural and com­mer­cial cen­tres in the UAE, Jed­dah and Dam­mam are crit­i­cal mar­kets for strength­en­ing our pres­ence in the Mid­dle East. Mum­bai is the com­mer­cial hub of In­dia and we see great po­ten­tial con­nect­ing the Mid­dle East with this city. With the ad­di­tion of th­ese new in­ter­na­tional fre­quency, we are com­mit­ted to ex­pand­ing our net­work to meet the re­quire­ments of both busi­ness and leisure trav­ellers. It is our con­stant en­deav­our to our cus­tomers as IndiGo con­tin­ues to of­fer on-time, af­ford­able, cour­te­ous ex­pe­ri­ence con­sis­tently.” The UDAN routes in­clude Kolkata-Al­la­habad, Al­la­habadKolkata, Raipur-Al­la­habad, Al­la­habad-Raipur. On the other hand, the air­line launched new - la­habad, Raipur and Ja­balpur, while de­vel­op­ing re­gional hubs at Al­la­habad and Kolkata. The routes will be ser­viced by an ATR air­craft and boost IndiGo’s con­nec­tiv­ity in Tier-II cities with fares start­ing from 1,999.
