Balachander Gvaneshwar joins Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall as the Food & Beverage Manager. In his new role, he will spearhead the F&B operations of the hotel. His responsibilities would also include coordinating, planning and implementing F&B concepts. Starting career in 1995 with Taj Residency Bangalore, Balachander moved to the Middle East in early 2000s. He later moved into the Shangri La Group and have been involved in successful hotel launch of Shangri-la Barr Al Jissah Resort. In his last role, he led the F&B operations for Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa, Muscat, Oman and the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Muscat, Oman as a multi property resource.
