Quick-reaction missile test-fired
On 3 July 2017, the indigenously developed Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air short range missile (QRSAM) was test-fired from a test range in Odisha. The missile has a range of 25 to 30 km and involves an all-weather weapon system capable of simultaneous tracking and firing. The missile was test-fired from a truck-mounted canister launcher from launch complex-3 at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, near Balasore. “All technologies and subsystems incorporated in the sophisticated missile have performed well, meeting all mission requirements,” stated the DRDO.
