MiG-29s for Serbia

Six MiG-29s have recently been delivered to the Serbian Air Force during the first week of October 2017, the jets “donated by the Russian defence ministry to the RatnoVazduhoplovstvo Protivvazduhoplovna Odbrana (RV i PVO, Serbian Air Force and Air Defence). The aircraft are to take over quick reaction alert assignment and pilot training in the second half of next year. Current Serbian MiG-29s will be overhauled when they reach their TBO of ten years. The Serbian 101stlovačkaa vijacijskaeskadrila (101st Fighter Aviation Squadron) will have ten MiG-29s.
