MKU : Poised for the fu­ture

MKU ex­hib­ited lat­est so­lu­tions for In­dian Army, Navy, Coast Guard and other ser­vices for up­com­ing re­quire­ments. The com­pany is equipped to de­liver so­lu­tions for up-com­ing RFIs in elec­tro-op­tics, arms, am­mu­ni­tion, ri­fles and pro­tec­tion, hav­ing worked con­tin­u­ously in adding a wide range of force mul­ti­plier so­lu­tions that will not only en­hance the night fight­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties and lethal­ity but also pro­vide a wider shield of pro­tec­tion for sol­diers and plat­forms.

“Look­ing at the op­por­tu­ni­ties of more than INR 12,000 crore in the de­fence and home­land se­cu­rity do­main, MKU re­mains pos­i­tive to­wards the In­dian mar­ket. MKU has signed an MoU with the UP Gov­ern­ment for an in­vest­ment of INR 1,000 crore in the newly an­nounced Ut­tar Pradesh De­fence Cor­ri­dor by Prime Min­is­ter Modi in Fe­bru­ary, 2018. Lo­cated in the heart of the cor­ri­dor, MKU is look­ing at sev­eral op­por­tu­ni­ties from MoD and MHA based on ex­pected RFIs.”

In ad­di­tion to the pro­tec­tion so­lu­tions for body and plat­forms, MKU also launched its newly devel­oped IDDM range of elec­tro op­tic sys­tems at De­fExpo 2018, which in­clude var­i­ous Ther­mal Imag­ing De­vices, Night Vi­sion De­vices, Laser Range Finder and Day EO De­vices.

‘ Make- in- In­dia’ raised much in­ter­est amongst in­ter­na­tional de­fence man­u­fac­tur­ers. Leading for­eign OEMs are in the process of form­ing al­liances with MKU to of­fer vast ar­ray of prod­ucts which in­clude elec­tro-op­tics, ri­fles and re­mote con­trolled weapon sys­tems, to name a few.

Keep­ing in mind the spe­cial re­quire­ments of the In­dian Forces for up­com­ing ve­hi­cle pro­grammes, MKU also show­cased blast pro­tec­tion so­lu­tions along with spe­cial ma­te­ri­als to de­fend land sys­tems from RPGs. Also on dis­play were the MoST ( Mod­u­lar Schutz Tech­nik) range of light weight ar­mour for air­borne plat­forms.
