As Flag Officer, the Admiral has served as Assistant Chief of Materiel (IT & Systems) in Naval Headquarters, Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam; Chief Staff Officer (Technical), HQ ENC; Director General Naval Projects at Vishakhapatnam, Programme Director, HQ ATVP; and as Controller of Warship Production and Acquisition in Naval Headquarters.

The strength of women officers serving the Indian Air Force as on 1
September 2020 is 1875. Of these, 10 women officers are Fighter Pilots and
18 women officers are Navigators. After approval of Ministry of Defence, the IAF commenced a scheme for “Induction of
Women SSC officers in Fighter Stream of Flying Branch” in 2016, under which
10 women fighter pilots have been commissioned, till date.
