Nokia Launches ‘Asha’ Phones
Nokia has unveiled a new range of Symbian based low-end handsets, called Asha, targeted at the emerging markets like India and Africa. The range will initially be of 4 devices. Two of the handsets, Asha 300 and 303, will be released before the end of the year with price tags of around £85 and £115, respectively, according to the company. The Asha 200 and 201 will launch at the beginning of 2012 and will be priced at around £60 each. Both the devices will have a QWERTY keyboard and will offer almost identical hardware. The company has claimed a 52-hour music playback battery life.
