Motorola Mobility Didn’t Violate Microsoft’s Patents: ITC
Motorola Mobility has said that it has not violated 6 of the 7 Microsoft patents listed in the Microsoft suite. The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) in the US International Trade Commission (ITC) action brought by Microsoft against Motorola has issued an initial determination that the company does not violate 6 of the 7 Microsoft patents listed in the Microsoft’s suite. The company noted that Microsoft had previously dropped 2 patents from its original case which included 9 patents. The ALJ’S initial determination is subject to further review by the ITC. The final decision in this case, based on the deliberation of the full ITC, is expected by April 20, 2012.
