Union Budget 2012-13: 40 crore Aadhaar Enrolments by Next Year

The Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, while presenting the union budget has expected that the number of Aadhaar enrolments would touch 40 crore by the next year and would allocate adequate funds for the same starting April 1, 2012. Presenting the Union Budget for 2012-13, Mukherjee informed the Lower House of Parliament that the enrolments into the other system have already crossed 20 crore and the Aadhaar numbers generated up to date has crossed 14 crore.
